Marv Lader
Marvin Lader spent over 45 years in the computer systems business. After a 7-year career with IBM, he started several computer companies, the last one being Datavantage Corporation. Datavantage provided point-of-sale software for retailers around the world and developed software to manage loss prevention in retailing.
Born in Cleveland, OH, Mr. Lader received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western University).
Mr. Lader has served on many boards in Cleveland, Chicago, and here in Naples. In Cleveland, he was Board Chairman of Jewish Family Trust and Board Trustee of Menorah Park (Senior Home), and The Cleveland Sight Center. In Chicago, he serves on the board of The Chicago Lighthouse (for the Blind or visually impaired). In Naples, he is Vice-Chairman of the Naples Senior Center at JFCS and is a board member of the Lighthouse of Collier County.
He lives in Chicago and Naples (six months each) with his wife Carol, of 61 years. Carol was an active interior designer and is a practicing artist with studios in Chicago and Naples. They have two daughters in Chicago and one son in Tuscon, and 7 grandchildren ages 13-29.
