Led by Naples resident and business owner Michael Wynn, the East of 41 Coalition is a growing, bipartisan group of Neapolitans who support the transformational change that is on the verge of becoming a reality in the area surrounding Baker Park, Naples Square, The Collective, and the Design District – change that will help our community continue to thrive and enhance the quality of life we all cherish.
With the valuable donation of land from Gulfshore Playhouse for a new municipal parking garage at 1st Avenue South and 12th Street South, constructing a garage at this location will leverage the Naples CRA’s resources for the benefit of all residents and local businesses.
Building a garage on this centrally located site will serve as an anchor to the dynamic redevelopment occurring in the area, including the future Gulfshore Playhouse theatre and education center. Neighboring businesses and the entire 10th Street corridor will benefit from this investment, as well as those businesses and restaurants in renowned Naples destinations such as Bayfront, Tin City and Fifth Avenue. This redevelopment will serve to strengthen the tax base East of 41 and support future reinvestment for the CRA and the City of Naples.
The parking garage also will serve to help fully realize the potential of the newest jewel of the City of Naples, Baker Park, which has limited onsite parking, especially for accommodating special events.

The Mission Statement of the Naples Community Redevelopment Agency is to guide private and public initiatives in the Redevelopment Area to facilitate economic development, improve physical characteristics, and encourage investment, thus improving the quality of life for residents of the Redevelopment Area and the City of Naples. Its primary revenue is equal to the ad valorem taxes collected on the value of the tax increment, meaning the amount of taxes generated from increased property values within the CRA over the 1993 base property tax value.
