Susan Regenstein

Susan Regenstein is Chairman and President of The Joseph and Helen Regenstein Foundation in Chicago. A Chicago native, she attended the Latin School there and Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She has followed her family’s 70-year-tradition of Chicago philanthropy, with beneficiaries including the University of Chicago. the Chicago Botanic Garden, the Lincoln Park Zoo, the Brookfield Zoo, Northwestern University, and the Shedd Aquarium. Susan has served on many non-profit boards; among them in Chicago are the Lincoln Park Zoo, the Shedd Aquarium, the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab, and—in Naples—the Shelter for Abused Women and Children.

Susan Regenstein and her husband Barry Frank have been loyal and generous supporters of Gulfshore Playhouse since 2010, and have made a notable gift as well to the Capital Campaign. Susan currently serves on the Capital Campaign Committee.  In addition to their support of the arts in our community, the couple have a long-standing interest in the environment of Southwest Florida, with Susan serving on the Magic Under the Mangroves gala committee of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida for 12 years.
